This listing is for a vintage Penzel Mueller (New York) alto saxophone mouthpiece. This piece is neither rubber, nor plastic, but rather a resin material. It has straight side walls and an arch top chamber, similar to a Brilhart. The tip opening is .065", which is slightly smaller than a modern Selmer C*. This piece plays well, with a relatively bright and focused tone. It
is in very good condition, aside from tooth gouges on the beak. You will probably want to have the indentations filled with epoxy and smoothed. Other than that it is in great shape. The facing is perfectly smooth. It has been cleaned/sanitized, so it is ready to use.
