This listing is for a vintage Buescher True Tone tenor saxophone mouthpiece. This mouthpiece probably dates to the late 1940's or 50's. This was the stock mouthpiece that would have come with a professional level Buescher tenor from that period, such as the Top Hat & Cain, 400, or Aristocrat. The design is typical of that era. It has an arch top chamber and flat inner side walls. It is made of white plastic, sometimes called "Tonalin". It is stamped 5 on the side, with the actual tip opening measuring in at .080". For reference, that is equal to a modern modern Otto Link #5.
This mouthpiece is in overall good physical condition, however there is a minor crack emanating from the shank. It is currently a pretty tight crack. Nevertheless, I would strongly recommend having it banded, so as to prevent it from getting worse. Other than that, this mouthpiece is in great shape. The facing (tip, table, and rails) is perfectly smooth, and original. There is no tooth wear on the beak. It has been cleaned/sanitized.

    Thanks again for looking!
    Note to international buyers:
Due to the current global pandemic, international shipments via USPS mail are experiencing significant delays. This is due to lack of available transportation (ie. mail is normally carried overseas as cargo on commercial passenger flights, however the flight schedules have been slashed). European buyers have experienced wait times of up to 2 months for shipments to arrive. If this potential wait presents a problem for you, please refrain from purchasing at this time. I sincerely apologize for this, unfortunately unavoidable, inconvenience.
