his listing is for a vintage Brilhart mouthpiece for tenor saxophone. It is a hard rubber version of the "Personaline" model. The Personaline was Brilhart's flagship model back in the day. It featured the "Vita-curve" facing, whatever that is! The hard rubber version came in a couple different interior styles, this one having the large chamber with deeply scooped inner side walls. This seems to be the more desirable version. Renowned mouthpiece maker Theo Wanne has stated that these are "among the best mouthpieces ever made" on the Brilhart page of his website.
This one has a small font serial number (166945) on the side. It is stamped S4 on the other side. The "S" refers to it having a short facing curve, and the 4 is the tip opening. The actual tip opening measurement is .075"
This mouthpiece is in excellent condition. The tip, table, and rails are perfectly smooth. The beak is free of indentations. There are no cracks. It has been cleaned/sanitized.
