his listing is for a Retro Revival "UK Special" tenor saxophone mouthpiece. Retro Revival is a boutique mouthpiece maker that specializes in making modern replicas of the most desirable vintage mouthpieces. The UK Special is based on the classic 1950's Berg Larsen long body duckbill pieces. It has a small chamber, flat side walls, and the classic 'bullet' drop off at the back of the baffle. Retro Revival offers this piece in only a single configuration, which they deemed ideal. It is a 110/2. Unlike original Berg's, this piece actually does measure as the numbers indicate, so it does indeed have a .110" tip opening.
This mouthpiece is in excellent, lightly used condition. The tip, table, and rails are perfectly smooth. There are no tooth marks on the beak. The shank is perfectly round. It has never been dropped or damaged. The silver plate finish is in excellent condition. It shows some minor tarnish (which could be easily polished if you desired), but no wear. The mouthpiece has been cleaned/sanitized. This listing is for the mouthpiece only, sorry no cap or ligature.
This mouthpieces comes with its original brass cap and ligature. The ligature has some minor corrosion, but is in otherwise fine condition. It has not been bent out of shape, and the screws work properly. The cap has some minor stress cracks in it, but it is still quite useable. The original mouthpiece box is also included.
This model currently sells on the manufacturer's website for 5! If you've been wanting to try this model, this is a great opportunity to do so without breaking the bank!
Thanks again for looking!
Note to international buyers:
Due to the current global pandemic, international shipments via USPS mail are experiencing significant delays. This is due to lack of available transportation (ie. mail is normally carried overseas as cargo on commercial passenger flights, however the flight schedules have been slashed). European buyers have experienced wait times of up to 2 months for shipments to arrive. If this potential wait presents a problem for you, please refrain from purchasing at this time. I sincerely apologize for this, unfortunately unavoidable, inconvenience.
