    T
his listing is for a "Phil-Tone" tenor saxophone mouthpiece. This is high end handmade mouthpiece produced by Phil Engleman. Phil
is one of the best in the business, and his services are in high demand.
This is his "Sapphire" model. As per the maker's website, the sapphire is modeled after the late slant signature, and early Babbitt era hard rubber Otto Link mouthpieces. It has a higher floor than modern Links, for greater projection and enhanced tonal color. It has scooped inner side walls, and a round chamber. The tip opening is .105", as etched on the shank. For reference, that is equal to an Otto Link 7*.
This mouthpiece is in excellent condition. The facing is perfectly smooth. There are no tooth indentations on the beak. It is still black and shiny. This mouthpiece has been cleaned/sanitized, so it is ready to play!
The current price for this model, as listed on the Phil-tone website, is US9, so this is not a cheap mouthpiece! This is a great chance to get a like new one for a significant savings.
Please feel free to email me with any questions.
    Thanks again for looking!

    Note to international buyers:
Due to the current global pandemic, international shipments via USPS mail are experiencing significant delays. This is due to lack of available transportation (ie. mail is normally carried overseas as cargo on commercial passenger flights, however the flight schedules have been slashed). European buyers have experienced wait times of up to 2 months for shipments to arrive. If this potential wait presents a problem for you, please refrain from purchasing at this time. I sincerely apologize for this, unfortunately unavoidable, inconvenience.
