This could have been a cannon priming or storage horn in the french and indian war. 17 inches long, base is 3 inches wide. Domed base plug with a forged staple. The front is hand carved in the style of a fish. Scrimshawed with H. M.S Boscawen 1759 Ticonderoga 16 guns 81 souls. The ship is scrimshawed also. On the opposite side is a scrimshaw of a cannon called Thumping Billy, his priming horn. Made by me South Ridge Forge in Telford Pa. The horn comes with a stand made of forged holders and mounted on a drift wood base.
