Handmade Guardala King R&B Tenor Saxophone Mouthpiece Original Tube Gold Plate!!
I got this from Woodwind and Brasswind in the mid 1990's.  I selected this one from 3 that I had sent on their mouthpiece trial policy.  This was my main mouthpiece through college and during my touring days until about 2004 or 2005.  It is an absolute paint peeling screamer of a mouthpiece, but can also play softly, and has a great subtone.  As I've gotten older, I find myself playing less club dates and situations where I need to cut through amplified instruments, and don't really have much use for this type of mouthpiece.  I've kept it in the "mouthpiece drawer" for almost 20 years at this point, partly for sentimental reasons and partly thinking that maybe I'd end up playing raucous gigs again, but I'm too old for that stuff now!
Tip measures .118" on my Theo Wanne Gauge, and the facing curve is 54.  Dave's exquisite crosshatched chamber work is visible on the baffle, and the serial number is 24640.  The plating is not in great shape, but I never noticed any effect on the playability.  There is a tooth mark on the bite plate, but it's not noticeable with a mouthpiece patch.  Depending on the style of music being played, I played anywhere from a 2 to a 3.5 reed on it, and it was very reed/brand friendly, although I generally preferred Rico Orange box and green Javas.
Due to the high value of the mouthpiece, shipping will be FedEx with full insurance for purchase price.  Additional charges may apply for shipments outside of CONUS.
Domestic returns accepted, however, be aware that you will be responsible for return shipping with full insurance via FedEx, and a modest 5% restocking fee.  Refund will be processed when item is received in original condition and less the 5% restocking fee.
