    Description

    Custom Claude Gordon Personal Model trumpet mouthpiece
    Claude Gordon grew up in Helena, Montana playing cornet and accordion. From the young age of 8 Claude was a featured member of his father's family band, who was the staff orchestra for a local radio station. When he was 19, Claude moved to Los Angeles to study with the great Herbert L. Clarke and was soon working in the studios on such iconic shows as Gunsmoke, Amos & Andy and The Untouchables. That's Claude's lush sound on the famous theme from "I Love Lucy"!
    Decades of teaching followed and along the way Claude wrote nine books on trumpet playing, including the very popular method "Systematic Approach To Daily Practice", which is still published by Carl Fischer Music.
    The "CG Personal" model was designed by Claude and produced exclusively throughout the remainder of his life by Benge and Kanstul (the latter company being the pioneer and one-time industry leader for single-point scanning and accurate duplication of mouthpieces). “Play it for 3 weeks and you’ll never play anything else”, Claude used to say.
