This is an original press photo. The sharp eyes and crisp feather pattern of a young goshawk (above) disguised the fact that the bird had been severely injured when it collided with a glass window recently. Linda Krakow (left), a helper at the Wildlife Animal Rehabilitation Center, 5800 North Lovers Lane Road, exercised the hawk on a tether line at Whitnall Park to strengthen its muscles The Wildlife ARC, a program of the Wisconsin Humane Society, trains volunteers to aid injured and orphaned animals and offers public education programs. Photo measures 9.5 x 6.25 inches. Photo is dated 01-04-1985.
