Eagles - This series of three photos taken at the University of Minnesota's Raptor Rehabilitation and Research Program in St. Paul...volunteer Mike Paxton releasing a golden eagle for exercise. The eagles, all recovering from surgery, are flown at the end of long ropes to help keep their muscles in tone during their time at the clinic. The volunteer must run alongside the flying eagle to keep the tether from snagging and crashing the eagle to the ground.Photo measures 11 x 8inches. Photo is dated 05-28-1982.
