This is an original press photo. A colony of penguins sits up and take notice at the arrival of a visitor to their home on Grozet Islands. The "visitor," a Djinn helicopter with photographic equipment was sent to the islands to take aerial photographs of the coastline and to transport equipment to the Kerguelen Islands where it will participate in glaciology work in connection with the International Geophysical year. Photo measures 9.25 x 7 inches. Photo is dated 12-31-1957.
